HaemilSoft Co., Ltd. focuses on integrated monitoring and control for large-scale power plants

Leading the market with ENERBOT, a cloud-based energy management system

[Industry News, reporter Lee Geon-o] Founded in 2015, HaemilSoft Co., Ltd. is preparing for the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, building on its know-how in system development across energy, automotive, shipbuilding, petrochemicals and other industries.
It provides PV-linked PMS, PCS mobile monitoring systems, and manufacturing systems such as SCM, POP/MES and barcode shipping/mix-up prevention, while also focusing on AGV inventory, automated warehouses and safety valve test report management systems.
Developing cloud-based energy management systems
As a result of steady R&D on EMS and PMS, HaemilSoft Co., Ltd. has launched the cloud-based energy management systems ‘ENCARE’ and ‘ENERBOT’. The company is recognized for approaching EMS/PMS — whose technology and stability are already proven and which many power producers operate — with a fresh perspective and management know-how.
‘ENERBOT’, a cloud-service-based ESS control solution that collects the active power of the PV power meter and directly controls charging and discharging when external communication is lost, uses weather-following control to maximize charging relative to PV generation.
In addition, to secure stable real-time data collection, it does not use the PLC/HMI adopted by other companies, but runs a web-based data collection middleware developed in-house that is both stable and cost-saving. ‘ENCARE’ applies an optimal weather-following algorithm to maximize charging relative to PV generation, delivering consistent charging efficiency regardless of PCS brand.
It provides FMS (Facility Management System) functions that collect and analyze big data on all equipment to predict and maintain each asset’s life cycle, and supports smooth O&M by monitoring the real-time communication status of internal and external equipment and providing remote control, in addition to the equipment in operation such as batteries, PCS, power meters, air conditioners, fire suppression systems and rapid exhaust units.
Park Kang-seok, CEO of HaemilSoft Co., Ltd., which stands out in energy management on the strength of these technologies, said, “What HaemilSoft Co., Ltd. is focusing on lately is developing integrated monitoring and control systems for large-scale power plants. Most monitoring today is done plant by plant, but in the second half of the year we plan to launch a system that manages, monitors, controls and integrates large numbers of plants at once.”

Responding to ESS fire issues with remote control
For customer convenience, HaemilSoft Co., Ltd. provides an SSO (Single Sign-On) function that lets users manage all their plants with a single login. It also provides real-time generation revenue through real-time SMP and REC data integration.
On the recent issue of ESS fire safety, CEO Park said, “What current systems can tell us is roughly whether the fire suppression equipment is working properly and whether extinguishing agent has been discharged in a fire. By attaching sensors and collecting data, we can predict fires in advance by detecting smoke, flame, temperature and so on.”
He continued, “We support safe plant operation through remote control of environmental monitoring equipment — scheduled temperature setpoint control of HVAC by season, integration with fire suppression systems for temperature, smoke and flame, and rapid exhaust units,” adding, “Remote power cut-off can also be applied with a smart power strip system to keep fires from spreading.”
CEO Park also stressed that checking real-time field data and managing it consistently is key to ensuring ESS safety. HaemilSoft Co., Ltd. is developing an ‘O&M system for safety managers’ that supports identifying and managing real data on problems as they occur.
“It lets you check what is actually inspected and managed in the field — for example, uploading photos of problems before and after improvement,” CEO Park said. “We need a systematic system that delivers the inspected items as reports that power producers can review.” He added, “Building such a framework and developing the system will contribute to ESS safety going forward.”
